FRAM KITAGAWA is an art director with very unique concept. He regards art as personal matter such as memories of past, records of today and a presentiment of future and continue to approach the relationship between art and society/personal people with his concept. Art Front Gallery in Tokyo, which is directed by Fram Kitagawa, produced many art plannings with clear message to people and society, for example, "Apartheid NON! - International Exhibition" (1988). They are also remarkable specialists of art planning in development cities and architectures. They produced "FARET TACHIKAWA" art projest (1994) which tries to integrate art into the town. This new urban experiment, unprecedented in the world, is a large project in cooperation with 92 artists from 35 countries.
